Discovering the World
Hi there! I’m excited to share the story behind VacationTransit.com. From a young age, I was fascinated by the world beyond my classroom map in Australia. I dreamt of exploring those distant lands like Europe and North America.
As I grew older, my curiosity turned into a passion for learning about different cultures, especially the delicious food in France, Italy’s vibrant lifestyle, and Greece’s stunning landscapes.
Beginning the Journey
As a young single adventurer, I embarked on my first travels from Australia. Given the distance and cost, every trip was a big deal. I traveled solo and sometimes with friends, cherishing every moment.
My career eventually brought me to the United States, a perfect hub for exploring the nearby countries. From Europe to Morocco and South Africa, nothing seemed too far anymore.
Finding Love and a Travel Partner
Amid my travels and work, I met an amazing woman in the transportation and travel industry. We shared a love for adventure, and after a wonderful courtship, we got married.
Together, we decided to use public transit in every country we visited. This saved us money and allowed us to experience each city like a local, discovering hidden gems off the beaten path.
Traveling as a Family
Our family grew with the arrival of our two boys, and our travel adventures continued. Our youngest was just a few months old on his first trip to Fiji and Australia.
We’ve traveled to Europe, the UK, and China, frequently visiting Australia and Fiji. Our kids have become little transit experts, knowing how to buy tickets, use smart cards, and even get local discounts.
